24m Spherical Grating Monochromator SGM
for Undulator Beamline
Features | Configuration | Drawings | Data
This monochromator, SGM, is a constant deviation type of VUV monochromator which applies relatively large radius spherical gratings. This has achieved high resolving power and also high flux in the wide range of photon energy in spite of its compactness realised by the wavefront design for third generation SR sources (undulators).
Features
- Very simple mount (SGM): Photon energy scanning is done by only grating rotation and linked linear motion of the exit slit keeping constant deviation.
- Easy alignment
- Compact design (Grating Radius 24m)
- High resolving power (Theoretical Resolution more than 10,000 over the entire photon energy range)
- High flux
- Covers wide photon energy range: 40eV - 600eV by three gratings interchangeable in-vacuo condition
- Very precise and reliable mechanism made by Toyama, very experienced in the UHV field
